Malaysia and Thailand speed up economic cooperation

Kuala Lumpur, Apr 22 (Prensa Latina) Malaysia and Thailand will boost economic cooperation to achieve a trade exchange value of 30 million dollars by 2025, according to Bernama news agency.

The press agency reported that the Malaysian ambassador in Bangkok, Datuk Jojie Samuel, made this statement during his recent working visit to the provinces of Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat.

The diplomat also invited national companies and organizations to participate in the Malaysia International Halal Exhibition (MIHAS-2022), to be held next September.

On the other hand, he proposed strengthening cooperation through greater collaboration to improve border trade between the two nations.

Thailand is Malaysia’s sixth largest trading partner in the world and the second largest in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean).
