The specialist explained the scope of this plan, a project that includes health personnel from the Environmental Hygiene Department and the Institute of Meteorology.
Aspects related to climatology, environmental clinics and the measurement of environmental pollutants make up the program, which is financed by the European Union for the Caribbean and in which 16 nations of the region are participating.
The project is also supported by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in conjunction with the Caribbean Forum (Cariforum), a subgroup of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States to address the effects of climate change in small island countries.
