The day before, Nicaragua´s vice-president, Rosario Murillo, highlighted the immunization process and explained that are 4,700,000 people with a complete scheme, which represents almost the 73% of the population.
Likewise, she said that with only one dose, the country has 1,040,731 people, equivalent to 16,25%.
In order to counteract the Covid-19 in this nation, the Nicaraguan government implemented since several months a massive house-to-house vaccination system.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Health (Minsa, in Spanish) reported that in the last week 45 new Covid-19 cases were reported, which brings the total number of people infected since the beginning here of the pandemic to 14,395.
According to Minsa, among the diseases associated with Covid-19 patients are arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, obesity and heart disease.
