Luanda, Apr 28 (Prensa Latina) Armed conflicts and the electoral processes in 2022 are issues of interest to the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), on which a high-level forum started on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX) announced in Luanda.

Both topics are being addressed in an analysis about the regional political and security panorama, taking place in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the MIREX told reporters in this capital.

Angola is participating in the exchange with a multisectoral delegation, headed by Foreign Minister Tete Antonio, who arrived in the neighboring country on Wednesday.

The two-day meeting will take place during a ministerial session of the Specialized Technical Committee on Defense, Safety and Security of the Community’s Peace Council, the source stated.

According to the MIREX, the ministers will consider the reports drawn up by the experts of the member states, the chiefs of general staff, the general commanders of the Police and the Gendarmerie, and senior officials of the ECCAS Peace and Security Council.

According to the organization, on Wednesday, the head of Angolan diplomacy delivered in Kinshasa a message from President João Lourenço to his DRC counterpart Felix Tshisekedi, on the interest to continue deepening the bilateral and multilateral relations, included matters of mutual interest at the regional and continental levels.
