Through a statement issued on occasion of World Al-Quds Day, the Iranian Foreign Ministry makes it clear that “the Palestinian cause is not only an Islamic issue, but an international and human one.”
“Thanks to the efforts of defenders of freedom, there has been a kind of awakening to the crimes that the Israeli apartheid regime commits in the occupied Palestinian territories,” the text of the Iranian Foreign Ministry reveals.
It also denounces that “murder, unjustified detention, torture and defamation of Palestinians have become routine for Zionist regime forces.”
“All these crimes are carried out in the absence of serious action by Western governments and international human rights organizations,” the Persian statement emphasizes.
The normalization of relations with the Israeli regime is seen as a dagger in the back of the resilient Palestinian people and has failed to remove the Palestinian issue from the top agenda of the Islamic world.
Iran calls on all Muslim nations and freedom fighters in the world to pressure governments and international institutions to fulfill their legal and human duty to uphold the rights of the Palestinian people.
