Parades for Al-Quds will take place in 900 cities and towns of Iran

Tehran, Apr 28 (Prensa Latina) A total of 900 cities and towns in the Islamic Republic of Iran are preparing for massive simultaneous mobilizations to commemorate World Al-Quds Day, on April 29th, in solidarity with Palestine.

The head of the Islamic Development Coordination Council, Mohamad Hossein, reported that more than 5,000 local and foreign journalists, photographers and cameramen will broadcast this message to the world.

According to the Iranian official, World Al-Quds (Arabic name for Jerusalem) Day ceremonies are held in the form of marches or public gatherings in more than 90 countries.

The condemnation of the violent and occupying actions of the Zionist regime against Palestinian citizens summons Muslims, freedom-loving people and other religions in support of Al-Quds and Palestine.

The President of Iran, Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, called for massive participation in the demonstrations on April 23rd, after two years of interruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Iran’s government vowed to show massive support for the Palestinian people at the World Quds Day march to condemn “Israel’s outrageous aggressions.”

Raisi assured that unity and solidarity among Muslim peoples would lead to the complete liberation of Al-Quds and the restoration of the rights of the oppressed Palestinians.

The Day was established in August 1979 by Imam Khomeini in solidarity with the Palestinian cause and is commemorated every year on the last Friday of Ramadan, the ninth month of the lunar calendar characterized as the sacred period of Muslim fasting throughout the planet.
