Under the leadership of the ambassador, Jennes de Mol, some of the employees of the diplomatic office will work closely with the Ukrainian authorities and other partner countries, Hoekstra wrote on his Twitter account.
However the mission’s consular office remains closed, according to information on the Foreign Ministry’s website.
At the end of February Dutch officials were transferred from Kiev to Lviv (west), following the special military operation deployed by Russia in Ukraine.
The same position was taken by other states despite the Kremlin’s claim that the deployment was in response to requests from the authorities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, and is not directed against civilian facilities, but is aimed at putting the war infrastructure out of action.
