The event, held at the Plaza America Convention Center in the Varadero beach resort, was attended by Cuban several ministries’ heads, representatives of the accredited diplomatic corps, businessmen, tour operators and travel agencies, among other people linked to the leisure industry.

The day before, the Cuban head of state held a meeting with delegates to FITCuba2022, where he described the event as a triumph of the people against the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition, Cuba and Argentina signed a memorandum of understanding for the strengthening of relations in the field of tourism and held a forum on sustainability in the sector, where they shared experiences, actions and strategies. (Expansion to follow)
