The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement criticizing “the abandonment of the Security Council of its responsibilities and the breach of its obligations” on the subject.
“This laziness allows the constant violations and crimes of Israeli racist colonialism against our people,” it said.
The escalation in raids by Israeli forces confirms the country’s plans to perpetuate the occupation of Palestinian lands through the implementation of an apartheid system, it affirmed.
The Foreign Ministry denounced the systematic Israeli attacks against the Palestinian people and their holy places, especially the Al Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem.
It also condemned the raids by Jewish settlers and the demolition of Palestinian homes and structures.
“We hold the Israeli government, headed by the extremist Naftali Bennett, responsible for these crimes,” it stressed.
