The main sectors on which the Indochinese nation is betting are mining and agro-forestry-fisheries, while among the recipient countries stand out Laos, Cambodia, Russia and Venezuela, the ministry said.
From January to the end of April this year, 34 new Vietnamese projects worth more than 285.8 million dollars received investment licenses in other countries, an amount double that of the same period in 2021.
The majority of that amount went to energy solutions company Vines, which placed US$34.68 million each in the United States, Canada, France, Germany and the Netherlands.
In the first four months of 2022, Vietnam also added nearly US$42 million to other joint ventures or works it was already executing abroad.
The sectors that received the most investments were energy, processing and manufacturing, mining, banking and finance, wholesale trade, and information and communications.
