The attacks began around 10:00 local time and so far no human casualties have been reported, although the shells destroyed a house and a garage in Nekhoteyevka, Gladkov said on his Telegram channel.
The Belgorod region suffered previous attacks since the Russian military operation in the neighboring nation began.
On March 23, a state of emergency was imposed in those localities after a shell fired from Ukraine exploded, injuring three people and damaging more than 20 homes and cars.
On April 1, there were explosions which left no injuries, and on the same day two Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopters crossed the border and entered the territory, where they attacked an oil depot.
Also, on April 14, the villages of Spodariushino and Zhuravliovka were attacked, with no casualties reported, while five days later the village of Golovchino, 10 kilometers from the border, was shelled.
After repeated shelling, most of the population of the villages was evacuated.
