In a letter addressed to the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, this organization regretted the death of 27 people due to the explosion that took place during the supply of liquefied gas to the tourist facility.

The Movement conveyed its condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, who number more than 70.

We know that doctors, young students, firemen and rescue workers are working intensely, attending to their brothers, as they have done on other occasions in so many countries in catastrophe situations, the letter states.

When we say Cuba is not alone, these are not just words, they are arms extended from all over the world ready to help this heroic revolutionary people, it concludes.

On Friday, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, whose pro tempore presidency is held by Argentina, expressed its solidarity with Cuba.

In addition, the Argentine government communicated that it places at the disposal of the Cuban authorities the White Helmets rescue team, an organism of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship.
