Buenos Aires, May 8 (Prensa Latina) Cuban artists paid tribute to the victims of an explosion at the Saratoga hotel in Havana, within the framework of the Buenos Aires International Book Fair, whose 46th edition continues today in Argentina.

With songs and poems, troubadours and writers expressed their sorrow for the event that occurred on Friday, which has so far caused the death of 27 people and left 74 injured and 19 missing.

We want to remember the victims of that terrible accident. Our tribute to them and all the solidarity for their families, expressed the vice president of the Nicolás Guillén Foundation, Orlando Hernández.

For his part, the troubadour Raúl Torres dedicated his verses to those who died due to the event on the morning of May 6th: “Word spread that there was a noise, which clouded the wonder, beings who vibrate very high, have seen crying the Giraldilla…”.

During book presentations and concerts dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Nueva Trova movement, the participants joined in the signs of solidarity with the Caribbean island expressed during these days by Argentine political and social organizations.
