“We believe that the way out in Ukraine is political and political negotiations between Ukraine and Russia should result in stopping the war as soon as possible and establishing a ceasefire in that country,” the Persian diplomat said.
“We oppose war in Ukraine just as we oppose war in Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq and anywhere in the world,” Amirabdolahian affirmed.
The Iranian Foreign Minister made his remarks during a joint press conference with his Polish counterpart Ezbignief Rau in the capital city, following talks between the two sides on common issues and topics of international interest.
Amirabdolahian thanked for the humanitarian support to the refugees due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and reiterated that his country is willing to send a medical team to assist the refugees at the Polish border, as confirmed by the Iranian television station in Spanish, HispanTV.
The parties also called for strengthening bilateral ties in various fields such as economy, science, culture and energy, among other common aspects.
