During a press conference, the official called on the International Criminal Court to launch an immediate investigation into the continuous violations committed by Tel Aviv.

It is necessary to hold accountable and prosecute those who commit these crimes, from the prime minister to the settlers and soldiers, Shalaldeh said.

He stressed that the 4th Geneva Convention of 1949 bans the displacement of civilians from their lands by an occupying power.

Our people have the right to resist, as reflected in the principles and regulations of International Law, he said.

Shalaldeh confirmed that his ministry will provide all possible legal help to the inhabitants of the Masafer Yatta area, in the south of the West Bank.

Last week, after 23 years of legal proceedings, the Israeli Supreme Court rejected a request from those people who sought to stop the expulsion from their land, used by the Army as a shooting range.

The ruling has been criticized by the UN, the European Union and a number of countries because it will pave the way for one of the largest displacements of Palestinians since the 1967 war.
