The group’s spokesman, Roberto Enriquez, told reporters that the support for the families is the guide of their work, when search works continue under very complex and difficult conditions to find three workers who are still missing.
He explained that of 51 employees who were in the hotel at the time of the incident, 22 are medically discharged and recovering from injuries, and three are still in hospital: one of them reported as critically serious, another is seriously ill and stable, and the third is less ill, but out of danger.
Enriquez regretted that 23 people, 13 men and 10 women, lost their lives, while two waitresses and a cook are still missing, he said.
Under these circumstances, solidarity and timely information are the fundamental actions of the hotel group, said the spokesman, who thanked all expressions of support inside and outside the country.
He particularly acknowledged the efforts by the rescue and rescue brigades, the medical and paramedical personnel, the forces of the Ministry of the Interior and the Revolutionary Armed Forces, as well as all those who have contributed to the search efforts following the incident.
