Party of Labour of Austria ratifies support for Cuba

Vienna, May 13 (Prensa Latina) The Party of Labour of Austria (PdA) approved a resolution to support Cuba during the sessions of its fifth congress, held in this capital.

Since its foundation, the PdA has stood firm by the side of the Cuban people (…) It does so on the basis of proletarian internationalism, internationalist solidarity and anti-imperialism, according to the text.

That political force recognized on Thursday what it described as “external limitations for the construction of socialism in Cuba” that put the country in a “constant defensive position.”

In such a scenario, “the advantages of a society based on a planned economy that advances against all odds” stand out, they claim in the document, which recognizes Cuban legislation regarding the liberation of women, science and ecology, without exclusion or inequality.

With the supply of vaccines, scientific knowledge, and the efforts of many doctors who provided their service to humankind at the height of the crisis, Cuba demonstrated once again that socialism focuses on the human being and his preservation.

The Party of Labour of Austria further denounced that “the counter-revolution was already prepared to undo this progress and restore the hated capitalist system.

In the past year, saboteurs and marauders hired by the United States organized planned anticommunist, counterrevolutionary and antisocial activities to be carried out in Cuba under the leadership of imperialism.
