Russian air defense shoots down 15 drones and 11 Ukrainian missiles

Moscow, May 15 (Prensa Latina) Russian air defense shot down 15 drones, a Tochka-U missile and 11 Smerch multiple rocket launcher projectiles last night, the spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov, reported.

Konashenkov indicated that the missile forces and artillery attacked some 140 enemy targets, including six checkpoints, 123 areas of concentration of troops and war materiel, and 13 artillery emplacements. Nearly 150 Ukrainian nationalists were eliminated as a result.

Konashenkov further stated that the Russian Aerospace Forces hit two command posts, 11 fortifications and four artillery ammunition depots of the Ukrainian troops in different locations of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Russia’s combat aviation, for its part, attacked 32 staging areas, in annihilated two S-300 anti-aircraft missile system and a radar station.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, so far the military operation in Ukraine, the Russian army has destroyed 165 planes, 125 helicopters, 879 drones, 306 anti-aircraft missile systems and 3,098 tanks and other armored combat vehicles.

The report added that 381 multiple rocket launchers, 1,525 pieces of field artillery and mortars, and 2,934 combat vehicles of Uraine’s forces were also put out of commission.
