The event will be an opportunity to update ourselves on the good practices of States and identify obstacles that hinder an effective response to the complex global migration situation, the Cuban deputy foreign minister said on Twitter.
On May 16, an interactive multi-stakeholder hearing will take place, hosted by the President of the United Nations General Assembly.
The program will consist of four interactive panel discussions, a policy dialogue and a plenary.
In 2018, Member States agreed to review progress made at the local, national, regional and global levels regarding the implementation of the Global Compact for Orderly, Safe and Regular Migration within the framework of the United Nations.
The Forum, a quadrennial one, will be held at the highest level and will include Heads of State or Government.
In all international scenarios Cuba has always advocated for regular, organized and safe migration.
