Cuba reports 61 Covid-19 new cases and 110 patients discharged

Havana, May 19 (Prensa Latina) Cuba reported 61 Covid-19 new cases and 110 patients were discharged, a figure that brings to 1,095,895 the number of recovered patients, accounting for 99.2% of all patients since 2020.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, including the contagions reported on Thursday, the total number of SARS-CoV-2 positive patients has reached 1,104,830 in more than two years of the pandemic.

In the last 24 hours, no deaths have been reported due to complications from Covid-19 and the death toll remains at 8,529, which means that Cuba has a lethality rate of 0,77% compared to 1,20% in the world and 1,70% in the Americas.

According to the Ministry, 1,804 patients are in hospitals or at home, 1,422 of whom are suspected cases, while 35 are under epidemiological surveillance and 347 are confirmed active with the coronavirus.

Some 344 active patients have a stable clinical evolution; however, one is critical and two are in a serious condition.
