“The U.S. influence has always been strong and colossal, but we are seeing that, in the face of its usual arrogance, 14 countries of the Caribbean Community and other nations such as Mexico, Argentina and Bolivia and others, say that they do not agree with excluding Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela”, the expert stressed in a dialogue with Prensa Latina.

Espinoza, who is director of the Regional Center for International Studies (CREI), referred to Washington’s construction of a supposed continental unity without a monolithic foundation that really unites everyone.

They are looking for ways to give an image that the United States continues to be an exceptional country for the world, Espinoza pointed out and explained how nations are currently reviewing their foreign policy in the face of a serious decline of the U.S. government.

Referring to an opinion matrix generated from the United States about an alleged boycott of the Summit to be held in Los Angeles, California, the expert pointed out that the governments of Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela have never thought of disunity and much less of boycotting any Summit.

The CREI specialist mentioned the possibility that if other governments join the call not to attend the Summit if not all countries participate, it could be a precedent for joining forces and eliminating the Organization of American States (OAS) in the future.
