In charge of undertaking this exercise a few days ago, she considered it a good instrument to bring present difficulties to the agenda, which she channeled into 22 questions posed to the Economy Minister, Azucena Arbeleche.

The legislator pointed out that she put “on the table” the issue of poverty levels, access to food, the high cost, how prices are rising and salaries are falling.

For Diaz, “today there are no effective answers and from this questioning we did not find answers either”, in order to understand the framework of the design of governmental measures that she described as insufficient.

In a press conference, she recalled that the political force delivered a letter to the Executive Tower with economic proposals to address the social emergency caused by the pandemic, but that there was no response from the government.

Regarding the upcoming budget accountability, in June, she criticized ” announcements very difficult to sustain, such as that it will be of zero expenditure” and at the same time the government pretends to comply with the promises of the electoral campaign.

A statement from the Wide Front party reiterated deep concern about the direction of economic policy and the deterioration of the social and productive fabric that is accumulating and the lack of an agenda to promote growth and development “up to the challenges of our times”.
