The ministers ruled out this possible health strategy during a meeting of the Executive on the subject and focused their attention on strengthening medical attention centers, told the Health vice minister Hernan Martinez, to ABC Color newspaper.
The executive branch also opted to reaffirm preventive measures against the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, especially vaccination, isolation among patients and isolation of patients from the rest of the population, he added.
The authorities reiterated -according to the specialist- the need for children with symptoms to stay at home and receive virtual classes, as well as workers with flu-like symptoms.
“The word ‘restriction’ has to be taken out of the dictionary,” insisted the Health Vice-Minister in allusion to the brake on production and services and other vital activities implied by the quarantines implemented before.
“Today we have already learned too much. We already know what we have to do in certain situations,” the expert stressed.
The government meeting – he said – also warned about the coincidence of Covid-19 patients with those infected by the respiratory syncytial virus in health care centers.
The ministers called for the allocation of additional resources for the hiring of more specialized personnel in view of the increase in the number of cases of this disease among children, whose treatment is suffering from a lack of supplies and budgets.
