“This means that new production plants and jobs will be opened. Thank God, our unemployment rate is not increasing. We have to appreciate it and carefully analyze what is happening, maintain this trend,” the head of state stressed at a meeting of the chairmanship of the State Council.
He highlighted that the unemployment level in the country decreased “slightly” to four percent, something that was not expected, he said, because “we assumed that there could be an increase”.
The head of state said the measures adopted by the country’s authorities support domestic demand, which he considered important, especially for domestic products.
However, he warned that the current year for Russia “is not easy”, with cumulative inflation since the beginning of 2022 exceeded 11 percent. He stressed that not all the difficulties facing the country are related to the military operation in Ukraine.
Putin explained that in various nations in North America or Europe, where military operations do not take place, inflation is comparable and sometimes much higher than in Russia.
He emphasized that the country has to cope with this inflation and that his government has to answer for it.
The head of state urged to solve the nation’s daily tasks in the social sphere and to work on the key priorities already outlined, among which he cited the increase of citizens’ welfare and quality of life.
