No deaths were reported, so the death toll remained at 4,377.

According to the update, the number of active cases in the Dominican Republic rose to 1,184, and the authorities explained that, at the moment, the country has a 8.06-percent daily positivity, and that of the past four weeks was 2.82 percent.

Moreover, hospital occupancy grew up to 2.1 percent, and there are four patients in intensive care units, that is, 0.7 percent.

The fatality rate is 0.75 percent.

Health authorities urged the population to take care of themselves, wear masks in public places and, above all, complete the vaccination schedule in the face of the progressive increase in cases in recent days.
