The works are being carried out with financing from the People’s Republic of China and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE), and according to authorities of the construction sector here this could be the year of housing in Nicaragua.
According to the co-director of the Nicaraguan Institute of Urban and Rural Housing, Olivia Cano, through the General State Budget, 1,022 subsidies were allocated to extremely vulnerable families.
Cano added that the delivery of this subsidy will lead to the construction of 622 new homes and renovation of 300.
“We have advanced 90 percent in approval so far this year for the construction of these houses and we can say that 90 percent of resources have been used and approved by the Administrative Board of the Social Housing Fund,” this official told Informe Pastran.
