According to the Foreign Affairs Ministry (Mirex), the meeting will be an important opportunity to interact and learn from the discussions and consultations with other interested parties, based on the call made by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), whose permanent headquarters are located in that European city.
The Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Information Technologies, Mario Augusto de Oliveira, heads the Angolan delegation, made up of experts from the organization and Mirex.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry praised the relevance of the exchange, with a view to promoting information and telecommunications technologies (ICTs) as a function of the sustainable development objectives subscribed to by the international community at the United Nations.
Angola will take part in the high-level political sessions of the event, scheduled from May 31 to June 2, Mirex said in a press release.
