Armed Forces of Venezuela deactivates drug trafficking camp

Caracas, May 31 (Prensa Latina) The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) dismantled a camp in the state of Zulia dedicated to supporting illegal runways and drug trafficking aircraft, the military high command reported today.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, the strategic operational commander of the FANB, Domingo Hernández Lárez, specified that in the western demarcation six anti-tank mines placed on roads and sidewalks by the so-called Tancol groups (armed drug-trafficking terrorists) were deactivated. “We will go through our entire cross-border axis step by step, systematically and we will make ourselves respected, there is no space for drug trafficking in our country. All its structures of invasion and death will be destroyed,” the general in chief stressed on the communication platform.

In this regard, Hernández Lárez reported that during the search operations for booby traps on the roads of the Páez municipality, in the southwestern state of Apure, members of the FANB found two fragmentary devices designed to attack the civilian population.

“Venezuela is a territory of peace, we will not tolerate any type of structure for military use, drug laboratory, explosives depot, training camp in our sovereign land. They will be destroyed, dismantled and expelled,” emphasized the operational strategic commander.
