“We were attacked with artillery at the entrance to Severodonetsk. One of the shells fell precisely on the escort vehicle that was five or ten meters in front of us, in which a Reuters camera crew consisting of two people was traveling,” the Russian TV network reporter narrated.
He explained that at first it seemed that the car hit a mine because it overturned on its side and caught fire. The driver was killed on the spot and the journalists from the British news agency were hospitalized, Zhdanov added.
He wrote on his Telegram channel that Ukrainian forces waited for the cars to enter a straight stretch of road and began firing at the two civilian cars by adjusting the aim from a drone.
