Through its profile on the social network Twitter, the Latin American political and academic forum addressed a message to the founder of the Workers’ Party (PT) and candidate for the next presidential elections in that nation.
According to his campaign team, Lula, 76, is asymptomatic, and his wife, Rosangela da Silva, is slightly unwell.
The ex-governor fulfilled different political commitments in regions of the country, after presenting himself at the beginning of May as a representative of the PT for next elections.
Lula appears as the favorite in the opinion polls for the October vote, with an intention to vote of around 45 percent, followed by the far-right leader Jair Bolsonaro, with 30.
