The measure urges institutions and workers from that sector to properly check how old their young clients are. It bans the promotion of this practice at schools and stipulates severe sanctions for offenders.
It also calls on families, the country and the entire society to support the education of new generations, talk them out of getting a tattoo and inform them about the risks for their health.
According to authorities, the ordinance seeks to protect minors’ legal rights for them not to be forced, persuaded and induced to get a tattoo.
As a precedent, in late 2021, China banned soccer players from getting a tattoo, called on those who have them to erase them and urged athletes to become positive examples for society.
