Meeting in China to approach more local firms and multinationals

Beijing, Jun 9 (Prensa Latina) China will hold this month a meeting to consolidate the links of local companies with multinationals of the world as a boost to its new pattern of growth and global economic recovery, the media reported.

This is the third edition of a meeting sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, which will once again be held in the coastal city of Qingdao (east) and will bring together 800 guests for virtual and face-to-face discussions on June 20 and 21, CGTN channel reported.

Participants will discuss opportunities for cooperation between China and multinationals as part of the country’s strategy to promote the opening of its market abroad.

According to many experts, the Asian giant continues to be an attractive and stable destination for foreign investment despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the crisis in the global economy.

China held this event for the first time in 2019, the 2021 edition was attended by more than 10,000 guests from various companies, including 390 from the famed Fortune 500 list, and discussed the need to explore new growth drivers and opportunities to revive business amid situations such as health.

The nation also seeks to further advance its “dual circulation” formula, which gives greater weight to business, production and spending at home, without abandoning international cooperation.

In this way, it intends to meet the demands of the national public, connect the local market with the global market and facilitate the flow of high-standard goods to its territory.
