In an exclusive interview at the headquaters of Spanish-speaking Iranian TV station Hispantv, Maduro praised the Caracas-Tehran model and said that brotherhood knows of no distance.

Iran and Venezuela are two nations that share great causes, great dreams and that has allowed us to make progress with development and cooperation plans for the past two decades, he noted. Interviewed by Ali Ejaredar, director of Hispantv, Maduro spoke about the strategies implemented by his government to tackle sanctions unilaterally imposed by the US government.

He explained the plan taken on by the Venezuelan government to keep oil refineries working in the face of the embargo and thanked the support received at that time by three fuel ships sent by Iran.

Brothers support each other when it is needed, the president said and noted that a weekly Caracas-Tehran direct flight will be inaugurated soon to promote comprehensive tourism between both destinations.

Before that, Maduro talked with reporters, anchors and other workers of this Iranian media outlet, and his special interview is being broadcast by this station and broadcast live by other channels, such as Presstv, Al-Alam and Telesur.
