Russia destroys foreign weapons delivered to Ukrainian fighters

Moscow, Jun 13 (Prensa Latina) Russian forces destroyed a large number of weapons and equipment delivered by the United States and the European Union to Ukraine, as per reports of Major General Igor Konashenkov, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

A missile strike hit a stockpile of weapons supplied by Western countries to Ukrainian forces near the Udachnoye railway station, in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

The Russian troops attacked a temporary deployment point of foreign mercenaries near the Fyodorovka community, in the Lugansk region, as well as two multiple launch rocket system batteries near the communities of Progress, in the Kharkov region, and Volcheyarovka, also in Lugansk.

Seven Ukrainian multiple rocket launchers and an electronic warfare station were eliminated in the Donetsk People’s Republic, in addition to 247 staging areas of enemy troops and war matériel, by Russian missile and artillery.

Konashenkov also reported that 13 command posts and 63 artillery firing positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were annihilated.

He also reported that the Russian air defense shot down eight Ukrainian drones in the last day, distributed over the Nikolayev, Kharkov, Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
