According to MINSAP´s latest report, 46 of the 99 injured were killed in the accident, while 51 have already been discharged, and a man and woman remain hospitalized, both reported in critical condition and seriously-ill, respectively.

On May 6, around 11:00 sharp, local time, the iconic Saratoga Hotel partially collapsed due to an accidental blast as a liquefied natural gas tanker was transferring natural gas into the facility.
The blast wave also damaged nearby facilities including the José Martí Theater, an elementary school as well as residential buildings whose residents were taken to state-run shelter centers till their respective houses are rebuilt.
