Venezuela promotes tourism in Iranian tourist-sending market

Caracas, Jun 13 (Prensa Latina) Iranian tour operators and influencers will start arriving in Venezuela on Monday, as part of the actions to promote the leisure industry of the South American nation, Tourism Minister Ali Padron reported.

On his Twitter account, the minister stated that a Business Roundtable aimed at strengthening the relations between Caracas and Tehran in tourism will be held at the facilities of the Venetur Margarita Hotel, on Tuesday, June 14.

“With the diplomacy of peace, we are determined to position and promote the best of our multi-destination and mega-diverse country to the nations of the world,” Padron tweeted.

During his official visit to Iran, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his counterpart Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi ratified the willingness to enhance the bilateral cooperation relations in several areas of strategic interest.

Following an extended meeting between high-level government delegations, the two leaders on Saturday signed several exchange agreements in key sectors such as energy, transportation, tourism and agriculture.

The Venezuelan president highlighted the decision to activate the direct flights between Caracas and Tehran on June 18, in order to promote the development of tourism, trade and cultural exchange between the two countries.
