With this drill, the military forces will strengthen the operational capacities and perfect their skills when handling risk situations posed by forest fires, Minister of Defense, Edmundo Novillo, said.
Some 80 soldiers, the Bolivian Air Force and Navy are being trained in this cycle of operational training, the minister added.
The soldiers will be also trained by the International Organization for Migration on temporary accommodation coordination and management to make their training more comprehensive.
Novillo said that this drill will contribute to train the Armed Forces in the face of more forest fires caused by global warming in the 21st century.
