During his stay in Kuwait, Maduro met with Prime Minister Sabah Al Khalid Al Sabahn, and reviewed the cooperation map. They also addressed the strengthening of bilateral ties within the framework of the construction of a social, economic, and productive development route.
“We have decided to activate a joint commission, with specific political and diplomatic cooperation plans, the Venezuelan president told reporters at the end of his visit to Kuwait.
Maduro stressed the willingness of both nations to expand exchange in energy and hydrocarbons, and strengthen the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the OPEC Plus mechanism for the stability of the market.
The head of State added that he invited Kuwait’s investment fund and private entrepreneurs to invest in tourism, energy and trade in Venezuela.
“We also proposed a very beneficial agricultural production project (…). It has been a very intense and fruitful agenda, with good results,” the president noted. As part of his working visit to Kuwait, Maduro met with National Assembly President Marzouq Al-Ghanim, Foreign Minister Ahmed Nasser Al Mohammed Al Sabah and incoming OPEC Secretary General Haitham Al Ghais.
Previously, the Venezuelan president visited Turkey, Algeria and Iran, as part of an international tour to strengthen cooperation relations with strategic allies in the international geopolitical scenario.
