Sources from Cuba’s Embassy in Beirut told Prensa Latina that a representation of young people reaffirmed their solidarity and fraternal ties at a meeting with Jorge Leon, Cuba’s charge d’affaires in Lebanon.
The secretary general of the youth organization, Youssef Ahmad, briefed the Cuban diplomat about a work program and the work they do to contribute to educate the new generations.
Ahmad expressed his gratitude for Cuba’s disinterested help by granting scholarships, as well as its support in the defense of the Palestinian cause.
During the meeting, the patriotic youth delegation highlighted the update they received on Cuba’s reality, and they identified themselves with the brotherhood of the struggles against imperialism.
The young people of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine expressed their admiration, respect and recognition for the Cuban Revolution’s firmness in the confrontation against the US blockade. They reiterated their commitment to continuing taking out actions of solidarity, demonstrations and denunciations of that hostile and criminal policy.
Both parties expressed their interest in continuing strengthening the ties of friendship and solidarity between the Patriotic Youth of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the Cuban Embassy in this capital.
