The main objective of the combined action between jurists and agents, under the name of Persea del Norte, is to capture the alleged leader of this criminal organization, whose name was omitted, ABC Color reported based on official sources.
Authorities believe this person was involved in the homicide of four people on October 9. One of the victims was Haylee Acevedo, daughter of the governor of Amambay, Ronald Acevedo, according to the National Police.
District attorneys and the police are targeting 18 rural and commercial establishments, as well as homes and other properties of citizens involved in crime in that region, to whom some 50 murders have been attributed in the past three years.
