Paranoia in Uruguay’s measure against Venezuelan plane

He referred to a version in the Argentine media, where the aircraft is being held, about the purpose of transporting imports of the Volkswagen automobile company to this country, to comment that since the crew was Iranian and since they were Venezuelans, the Uruguayan government acted with paranoia.

Hours ago, at the request of Frente Amplio legislators, the Defense Minister, Javier Garcia, appeared before a Senate committee to provide information on the decision to prevent the landing at Carrasco international airport of the Emtrasur airplane from Buenos Aires.

After that meeting, senator Sandra Lazo described the situation as “highly complex” and reported that the opposition political force will follow the case “very closely” considering the information that “constantly emerges”.

Mario Bergara, also a member of the Defense Committee, expressed concern about the fact that the information for the measure against the plane came from Paraguay and “that we are systematically depending on the fact that at the last minute information from some international service may arrive”.
