“Cuba, our beloved homeland, is currently experiencing one of the most difficult moments from an economic point of view in the history of our Socialist Revolution,” according to the ANCREB-JM statement condemning Washington’s blockade for more six decades.
In the statement sent to Prensa Latina, the group denounces that the “unjust blockade” weakens economic life in Cuba and causes “suffering to our people.”
Remember that “the more than 200 measures enacted by the (Donald) Trump administration amid the very serious global situation of the (Covid-19) pandemic were a truly genocidal act.”
And the current Biden administration, which has not lifted those measures, exposes the “falsehood and hypocrisy of a government without internal support and weakened abroad.”
The association reiterates that, due to the blockade, Cubans face hardships regarding the delivery of oil; the lack of resources that harms food and industrial production, blackouts occur and international banks hinder commercial and economic transactions.
It warns that, at present, imperialist actions are increasing to spread messages and fake news to discredit the Revolution and confuse our people and citizens from other countries.
