Some 66 Dominican ex convicts deported from the US

Santo Domingo, Jun 22 (Prensa Latina) A total of 66 Dominicans who served sentences for different crimes in the United States arrived in this capital deported by US Immigration and Customs authorities, media reported on Wednesday.

Those individuals arrived at the Las Américas Airport escorted by federal agents, who handed them over to the General Directorate of Migration, Drug Control and the Specialized Airport Security Corps.

The deported ex convicts went through rigorous exams by migration and health authorities before getting on the buses that took them to the Deported Detention Center, located in the town of Haina, San Cristobal province.

With this group, the number of Dominican ex convicts deported to this country so far this year rose to 623.
