Transport Minister, Zuheir Khazam told the press that nationals workers and specialists have been working day and night to rebuild and rehabilitate the damaged facilities, particularly the runways.

Damascus announced that an Israeli missile attack fired from the occupied Syrian Golan on the 10th of last month caused considerable damage to runways, navigation lighting systems and the second terminal.

The Syrian government condemned this attack and other hostile Israeli actions and deplored the silence of the United Nations in the face of them, as well as ratified the right to defend the integrity and sovereignty of the national territory by all legitimate means.
