For 23 years Cuba has had the Latin American School of Medicine, which is part of the tradition of solidarity of the people of the Caribbean country.

More than 30 thousand professionals from 118 countries have graduated from its classrooms and offer their knowledge and services around the world since its foundation in March 1999 by the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.
