The meeting will bring together activists and organizations of the State Movement of Solidarity with Cuba (MESC) and a delegation of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples.)

The Valencian Association of Friendship with Cuba Jose Marti will be in charge of sponsoring the event under the slogan “Cuba. Revolution of Solidarity”, with a poster designed by illustrator Javi Parra.

On this occasion, after the pause forced by the pandemic situation, the 60 organizations that make up the MESC will meet in person, following the last meeting held in Rivas-Vaciamadrid in 2019.

Discussions will focus on the work done and how to strengthen solidarity and cooperation with the island; strategies to fight more effectively against the U.S. economic blockade of Cuba, as well as on communicational tools and support for the Cubainformación TV media. It is also expected the participation of cultural, scientific and communication figures from Spain and Cuba.

The event will pay tribute to Fidel Castro and Jose Marti, as well as to the Cuban health professional teams that shared their experience in solidarity with other peoples in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
