According to the statement, the talks will focus on various aspects of bilateral relations and the review of the cooperation´s progress in several integrationist projects approved within the framework of the Russia-Belarus State Union.

The two leaders held their last official meeting on May 23 in the Russian city of Sochi, on the Black Sea, where Putin said that the two countries´ integration process is being strengthened without haste and with the verification of each step.

“Here we do everything as we agreed: calmly, without any haste, we verify each step to make sure that it strengthens us internally and externally, strengthens our political system and creates conditions for its development, creates a fundamental, good and solid basis for economic development,” he said.

Lukashenko, for his part, warned that Western sanctions against both nations prompted Minsk and Moscow to deal with their economy more intensively.
