Speaking to the press after talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov, recalled that when Second World War II (1939-1945) began, Adolf Hitler gathered most of the European countries under his banners for the war against the Soviet Union.
“Now, in the same way, the EU and NATO gather the same modern coalition for the fight, practically for the war against Russia. We will observe all this very carefully”, he warned.
The Foreign Minister said that his country has no illusions that the EU bloc will change its attitude and abandon the Russophobic policy in the near or long-term future.
In his opinion, the EU’s political line confirms its unwillingness to implement with Moscow the existing joint agreements on the development of common spaces in the humanitarian, economic and security spheres. “All this is history, it is the past,” he noted.
