During a joint press conference at the close of high-level talks, the two confirmed their mutual willingness to boost ties.

The Persian president said Iran and Iraq agreed to facilitate monetary and banking relations to help both nations.

Raisi reiterated the need for regional nations to solve their own problems without foreign interference.

He further reminded certain countries in the Levant that Arab-Israeli normalization will never bring security to this part of the world.

Raisi stressed that Iran supported the Iraqi nation and government during Iraq’s difficult days and stressed that Tehran will never back down from its position.

Al-Kazemi’s visit to this capital reflects the continuity to the talks the two countries held in Baghdad at the end of the last month of Ramadan.
