In the article Asia-Pacific is not the North Atlantic, the researcher of the International Political Science Association warned about the approval at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit in Spain of the new strategic conception of the military alliance targeting China.

With the aim of creating a network to isolate and hinder the development achieved by Beijing, NATO, under the command of the U.S., is pursuing the attempt to make a conflicting alliance in the Asia-Pacific region like that of Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States (AUKUS) and the Quad under the labels of “restoring democracy” and “strengthening the alliance,” he said.

Kim added that the military moves against the DPRK by the U.S. and the Republic of Korea (ROK) in and around the peninsula are also becoming open.

He questioned South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol’s readiness to play the role of a cannon fodder for NATO’s objectives, describing it as a lackey and an aggression apparatus of the U.S. to carry out its hegemonic strategy.

He affirmed that the South Korean leader is mistaken if he thinks he will be victorious in his pretensions to win Washington’s praise and the protection of the military alliance.

The Asia-Pacific countries, considered as NATO’s strategic rivals and competitors, are not inferior to others in their willingness and ability to defend themselves against intervention and aggression by foreign forces, he said.
